We had a great Thanksgiving! We had dinner at my house and my mom made an amazing meal! This was the first year that we had just our immediate family, it was a lot of fun. My dad cut the turkey and served it right on the table! Ella was definitely the center of attention! We Love her! We had our annual clay pigeon shooting contest. My shooting was rough, to put it nicely. But my husband won the competition! That is always a highlight of Thanksgiving. We are so grateful to have such an awesome family. After spending time at my house we went to Ben's families Thanksgiving for round 2 at pie. They had a very large group. The pie was good, and it was fun to see everyone! Since my mom was so distracted making the meal we didn't get many Thanksgiving pics. She is usually at everyone's side snapping photos. I did get one with Ella though, isn't she cute??
On December 3rd we got our first Christmas Tree!! I am so excited! It is so fun to have a tree in your house for the holidays. I absolutely love it! Ben was worried that I would spend too much money decorating it, but I am proud to say I decorated it for under $50.00! I'm just so grateful to have a tree, it just brings the holiday spirit right to you!
Our good friends Ian and Spooner threw a sweater party last night. It was quite a hit! There were tons of people in every kind of sweater you could imagine. My sweater was possibly the most hideous, the shoulders were padded and it basically made me look large in every area that a woman would want to look small! haha It was a lot of fun though. Ben had some nasty hair going on, and a mustache. Gross. Mustaches were a popular affair at the party though! Lexie came along with us, and she had an amazing Christmas sweater with dogs, loved it!
